Lena Weiler

d. September 11, 2014

Our loss is Heaven's gain! We lost our wonderful Mother Lena Weiler, on September 11, 2014. She was born on November 3, 1922 and spent her youth in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While attending Oklahoma University, she met her future husband, Harold "Doc" Weiler, a Naval Pilot. After their marriage, they moved to Burlington, Wisconsin where they had seven children. As a young woman, she spent many summers attending camp in Carrizozo, New Mexico. When the family relocated to Albuquerque in 1960, she was able to realize her dream of returning to "The Land of Enchantment." She was passionate about her family, many friends, political debates, crossword puzzles and desserts of any kind! As people have often pointed out ----"She was a real Class Act!!" She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, H.J. "Doc" Weiler, and two sons, Jim and Jeff Weiler. Lena is survived by her children Ann (Russ) Rhoades, of Albuquerque, Caroline (Gary) Harrington, of Las Cruces, Cindy (Bill) Stehle, of Denver, CO, Elaine (Joe) Geoghegan, of Scottsdale, AZ and Greg (Mona) Weiler, Rowlett, TX and daughter-in-law, Dane Weiler; her grandchildren, Tim and Paul Harrington, Michael and Tracey Stehle, Garrett and Melanie Weiler, and Lisa Darrell; ten great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews that loved her dearly. Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
