Leland (Glenn) Fritts passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the age of 72. Leland Glenn was born on Thursday, June 30, 1949 to Quinton and Dorothy Fritts in Amarillo, Texas. He was the middle son, having two older brothers and two younger brothers. He was raised in Amarillo, Texas and lived in an area known as Pleasant Valley. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1968. In July of the same year, he married his high school sweetheart Pamela Kay Bumpas. This past July they celebrated 53 years of marriage! He served in the Army for 7 years and part of which he fought in the Vietnam War. His love for the United States was always and forever. Glenn and Pam were stationed in Fort Huachuca when their first daughter, Tawnya was born in 1974. Glenn got out of the Army, and they moved to Amarillo. When they were there, he did odd jobs and eventually moved to Tucson, Arizona to work for Lein Chemical company. While living in Tucson their second daughter, Tiffany was born in 1979. Since Glenn was moving up in the sales manufacturing world. He took a position with Amfac in 1985 which moved his family to Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Both girls were raised in Rio Rancho and graduated from Cibola High School. Glenn worked as a manufactured rep with UTP Bohler Thyssen for 25 years, covering the Southwest Territory. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling and talking to his different customers and made many friends. He served as a Deacon and Elder at Rio Rancho Community Christian Church for many years. Glenn was a strong man of faith and walked that out daily. In 2007, Glenn and Pam bought Pac N Post in Rio Rancho. They ran the business for over 12 years and met many wonderful people. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, always had a joke to tell, cooking, and he had a very positive outlook about everything all the time. Some of his favorites were the mountains, loving and believing in the freedoms he fought so hard for, and listening to water. He liked Trump, lighthouses, trains, and reading his books. He went to be with Jesus way too soon but Heaven gained a remarkably devoted Brother, Husband, Uncle, Dad, and Grandad. He was loved by many and lived a wonderful, amazing life. He will be greatly missed but we know we will see him again. He was preceded in death by his parents, Quinton and Dorothy Fritts and his brothers Brian and Cody Fritts. Glenn is survived by his wife Pamela, his daughter Tawnya Fritts-Beck and husband Tom of Rio Rancho, NM. His daughter Tiffany Scheller and husband Gary of Amarillo, TX. Grandchildren Tierney, Talayna, Brayden, Layla, and Cayden. Also, two brothers Larry and Dennis and their families, and several sister-in-laws and their families. Glenn was greatly loved and will be missed by many. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Mesa Baptist Church, 1411 Golf Course Rd SE, 87124.
