LeAnn E. Puglisi

LeAnn Puglisi was born on January 8th, 1956 in Ogallala Nebraska to Harry and Alberta Dahlkoetter. At the age of 9, she moved with her parents to Rio Rancho. LeAnn always had a deeply held desire to help people, and from a young age she knew she wanted to be a nurse. She obtained her nursing degree from the University of New Mexico in 1978, and was hired at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where she worked for 15 years as a floor nurse, a rehab nurse, and a recovery room nurse. After leaving St. Joseph’s, she entered the field of nurse case management, where she was well known and respected.

LeAnn loved playing the organ and singing, and she frequently participated in the church choir.  She also enjoyed quilting, investigating the genealogy of her family, and rooting for the Cubs. A cheerful and kind woman, LeAnn loved making new friends and spending time with old ones, sharing with them her compassionate wisdom and her distinctive laugh. LeAnn is survived by her husband of 40 years, Alfred Puglisi, and their daughter, Diana Puglisi. A beloved wife, mother, and friend, she will be dearly missed.

A Mass and reception will be held in January.
