Lawrence T. Zezza, 76, “Butch” to the world, was the best husband, dad, grandpapa, and friend to everyone. A large and loving family, whom he adored with abandon, surrounded his beautiful life. A dedicated Packers fan that was most proud of his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and 46 years of service to his country through both military and civil service.
He was born in Camp Mackall, North Carolina to Ellen May and Lawrence Thomas Zezza Sr. He grew up in Hudson, Wisconsin with his three siblings Sharon, Judy, and Dick; which resulted in his lifelong dedication to “God’s Team” you know, the Green Bay Packers. Butch enlisted in the United States Air Force when he was seventeen years old and continued to serve his country for the next forty-six years. During that time, he met the love of his life, Mary Senati, at Ramey Air Force Base, Puerto Rico. It was here where their fifty-five year journey began. He not only found a wife, he found a second family in Mary’s mother and father and four sisters, the Senati family. Over the course of his career, Butch fought for his country in Vietnam and earned many honors including becoming a Chief Master Sergeant.
His dedication to his military career was unmatched by the devotion that he had for his wife and three children; Karen, Bob, and Gina and their ever-growing families. Not only was he the most incredible father and husband, he was the best Grandpapa to all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren; Nikki Mazur, Alexandria Vinyard, Erin Zezza, Rena Jakway, Alex Jakway, Emma Metros, Dylan Metros, Maya Vinyard, and Bailey Mazur. He was an inspiration and role model to everyone in his life.
Butch will be dearly missed and forever loved by all who knew him.
