Lawrence Lee Frank

Lawrence Lee Frank, 68 passed away, Thursday, January 31, 2019. He was born in Albuquerque on March 8, 1950. Larry grew up in Albuquerque, graduated from Highland High School, and the University of New Mexico where, he received a BA degree in Business Administration and an MBA degree in Finance. Larry then received his CPA license.

After graduation, he was employed by AMOCO Oil Company in Casper, WY. Larry returned to Albuquerque to take enough hours to sit for the CPA exam. He did an internship with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells where he became a manager and closed out the Albuquerque office. Larry was in a private practice with Chester Maddox. Larry was a part time instructor teaching auditing at the University of New Mexico and served on the Board for Anderson School of Banking. Larry sold the private practice and became the president, CEO, and CFO of Grants State Bank until it sold.

Larry was passionate about astronomy, nature, a railroad enthusiast, animal lover, photography, genealogy and avid reader.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shari A. Frank; his Bichon, Mr. Gibbs; daughter, Christina M. Frank of Albuquerque; son, Austin R. Frank of Albuquerque; sister, Janet Frank Olsen; and niece, Annalise E.O. Stratton of Tustin, CA; Cousin, William Frank of Santa Fe, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Eleanor Frank.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park 924 Menaul Blvd NE.
