Lauren, the oldest of three siblings, was born in Wynne Arkansas on November 2nd, 1955. She was an accomplished clarinet musician, and the salutatorian of her graduating high school class. She attended Kennesaw College and completed an Associates Degree in 1976, while working accounts receivable for an office supply company. Lauren married Jim on August 31st, 1975. Their first child was born in November 1979, shortly after Jim joined the US Air Force. Lauren chose to stay home and run the business of the family until 1992. It was then she returned to school, completing an Associates Degree in Accounting from South Plains College. Over the next few years she worked as a bank teller, high school secretary, Lancome' Counter Manager at Dillard's, and finally as the Store Administrator for Nordstrom. During this time she also filled numerous volunteer positions at several military installations, winning many awards, and as the "First Lady" to two Air Force squadrons her husband commanded. Lauren excelled at all endeavors due to her outstanding organizational aptitude and her exceptional interpersonal skills. She is survived by her husband, Jim Mont; daughter, Brianna Seago; son-in-law James Seago; daughter Chelsea Mont; daughter-in-law, Elise Mont; daughter Laurie Puryear; son-in-law, Andrew Puryear; and two beautiful grandsons.
