Laura Mae (Slade) McInnes

Laura Mae Slade McInnes passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 20, 2022, after a short battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Laura was born in Eagar, AZ on May 18, 1932, to Burdwell and Freda Slade. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Andrew Daniel McInnes. She is survived by her 7 children, Dan (Arvilla), Mike (Jan), Melissa (Leland), Racheal (Paul), Graham (Eva), Jennifer (Leon), and Jonathan (Kallie), 28 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren. Also, her 3 brothers, Pard (Sandra), Joe (SueAnn), and Ken (Susan).
Albuquerque was her beloved home where she enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables, herding her yard full of turtles, watching birds, and digging in the dirt. Laura loved everyone and her influence was felt far and wide. If you knew her, you loved her. She will be greatly missed.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 2, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Indian School Chapel, 12701 Indian School Rd, Albuquerque NM 87112.
