Larry K. Johnson

Larry Johnson left us on May 2, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 8, 1940 in Topeka, Kansas to Clarence and Irene Johnson. He was extremely talented and bright, graduating from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. He then continued his education at the University of New Mexico and was awarded a Master's Degree in mechanical engineering. Larry was recruited by Sandia Labs, and later left to start several successful businesses, including Cybernetics, Inc. and Technology Marketing Associates; which he nurtured for 30 years. He married Dian Kelly in 1963 and they had three children together: Kelly, Keith and Kristopher. Larry subsequently married Joan Johnson on February 14, 1982; a loving marriage that endured for 33 years. Larry Johnson was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Marlene (Lynn) Markley; his wife, Joan; and children, Tom (Jolie) Maszk, Kelly (Michael) Farias, Kristen Carey, Keith (Gloria) Johnson, and Kristopher (Shelby) Johnson. Larry was blessed with eleven grandchildren: Shane Farias, Tory Maszk, Casey Farias, Josie Maszk, Alexis Carey, Wes Maszk, Rachel Carey, Tabitha Johnson, Niko Johnson, Tage Johnson, and Taylor Johnson; one great-granddaughter: Jenny Maszk; nieces and nephews: Ginger (Paul) Livingston, Matt (Paulyna) Markley, and Mike Markley; grand-niece: Maya Markley and grand-nephews: Oskar Livingston and Mateo Markley. Services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. FRENCH - Wyoming.
