Lance DeYoung

Lance DeYoung, 76, beloved husband and father, was called to his eternal resting place on April 15, 2017.

He was born to Milford and Frances DeYoung.  He is survived by his wife, Rosemary DeYoung; sons, Craig DeYoung and David DeYoung; stepsons, David Segura (Amanda), Michael Segura (Monica), and Stephen Segura; brother, Larry DeYoung and wife, Arlene; six grandchildren, Noah, Isabella, Jonah, Ava, Sadie, and Ryan.  Lance served in the United States Air Force from May 1965 to January 1, 1987. Lieutenant Colonel DeYoung flew F-4E's in the air defense mission. He continued flying personally many years thereafter. He was active at Ridgecrest Christian Church, Air Force Association, Tau Beta Pi, Cessna Pilot Association, Neighborhood Association, and numerous charities.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, April 21, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at Ridgecrest Christian Church, 5300 Eastern Ave SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.   Interment will follow the Celebration Service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, www.pancan.org.   Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kenneth Smith, his staff, and other doctors, nurses, medical personnel who assisted at Presbyterian, to UNMH cancer center medical personnel, Presbyterian hospice, PCM staff and caregivers and the many wonderful and supporting family and friends.
