Kristy Torrez

Kristy Torrez, born August 3, 1973 to Marcia Delgado and Kenneth Torrez (deceased), passed away unexpectedly on July 16, 2016. She is survived by those whom she loved very much; her twin daughters, Savannah and Hailey Simpson; and granddaughter Isabella (Izzy), who brought great joy to her life; her loving mother, Marcia Delgado; brother, Michael Sisneros; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; and last, but not least, her dachshund, Winnie. Kristy was born with a rare skin condition that posed immense challenges throughout her life, yet she faced adversity with courage and strength. That adversity did not define her. She will be remembered instead for her fun sense of humor and playful laugh. She was smart, sarcastic, and witty. She had a way of connecting with people and made friends out of strangers. Although Kristy will be deeply missed, she will not be forgotten, and her memory will live on in all who loved her. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 26, at 9:00 a.m., at St. Therese Little Flower Church, 300 Mildred Ave. NW, followed by a reception in the parish hall gym.
