Kouri Zoa Antinone died unexpectedly February 12, 2022. Kouri was born November 6, 1980, to Marilyn Jernigan Antinone and Robert (Bob) Antinone. She was educated at home and in private and public schools, graduating from Del Norte High School. Kouri had a strong interest in photography, and she studied that and art history at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She studied many photography techniques, both ancient and modern. She worked at three different camera and photography shops in Albuquerque and learned how to operate modern digital cameras and digital printing machines. Kouri made a hobby of collecting old film-based cameras.
Kouri was a long-time member of the Albuquerque Press Club where she was on the governing board and served as president for one term. She traveled much of this country to find subjects of interest for her photography and to visit friends who had moved away from Albuquerque. She was well known for always cheering on and supporting her friends and loved ones, and would often drop what she was doing to help a friend in need. Kouri is survived by her mother and father, her brother Max and his wife, Renee Antinone, and a large family of aunts, uncles, and cousins from Arizona to Ohio.
A Celebration of Kouri's life will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 10am at FRENCH - Wyoming. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you make a donation in Kouri's name to Animal Humane,
