Kevin Lee Bradshaw, 57, passed away on January 12, 2018 at Presbyterian Hospital due to multiple causes. He was born in Wichita, KS on December 2, 1960. Kevin is survived by his parents, Dr. Martin D. Bradshaw (Betty Jo), of Placitas and Doris Joan Stineman (Richard) of Newton, KS; along with two sisters, Debra Sue Cannon (Bryan), of Corrales and Janell Diane Martinez (Daniel) of Placitas. In addition, he leaves his uncles and aunts, stepsisters and stepbrothers, along with many nieces and nephews in states across the country.
Kevin excelled in baseball as a catcher. As a youngster, he played Little League, Babe Ruth League and then high school baseball at Sandia High where he graduated in May of 1978. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in May of 1982 from the University of New Mexico.
Kevin worked at Sperry after graduation, and then became an independent photographer, finishing his working days at Life Touch International photo studios for 18 years. There, he was the coordinator for high school yearbooks for northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado. He was very active in Toastmasters International and an avid bicyclist. In later years, he became a voracious reader.
Although limited in his later life by mobility problems, Kevin never lost his indomitable spirit. He was a gregarious, fun loving individual who was well liked by everyone who knew him. Kevin will be sorely missed.
Perhaps you were a classmate of Kevin at Osuna Elementary School, Cleveland Middle School, Sandia High School, or The University of New Mexico. Maybe you participated with him in Y-Indian Guides, or were a teammate with him on one of his teams from the ages of 7 to 18. You may have worked with him at The Cooperage, Honeywell or Lifetouch National Studios. Kevin participated in many bicycle tours and was active in Toastmasters International. Maybe that is where you knew him.
Wherever you may have encountered Kevin, now is your chance to say a final goodbye as his family gives our beloved Son, Brother, Nephew and Uncle a fond farewell at a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, May 26, 2018, 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming. Kevin has been cremated and final interment will take place the following week at a private family service at Sunset Memorial Park.
