Kersten Lyn Nieto

Kersten Lyn Nieto, 43, of Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018. She is survived by her sons who were the light of her life, Blake, Dustin, and Jared. Kersten also leaves behind her parents, Bill and Judy Hedlund; her brothers, Carl and Eric Hedlund; her church family at Albuquerque's First Baptist Church; her co-workers at Lovelace Medical Center; as well as many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Alex Nieto.

Kersten's family and faith was the most important parts of her life. She enjoyed the time they spent together taking her son's to all their favorite places like the park, the Albuquerque Zoo, the movies and even the occasional monster truck rally. She was dearly loved and will always be remembered.

A Visitation will be held for family and friends on Wednesday, February 28, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Albuquerque's First Baptist Church, 4101 Paseo Del Norte NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114. Following cremation, Kersten will be laid to rest privately at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
