Age 83, a resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, January 30, 2014. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Wilma Jeanne Lyslo; his daughter, Julie L. Tillery and husband Gary of Albuquerque; his grandchildren, Katherine Gayle, Kerry Reeves, Kristopher Phillip and Kyle Bennett Tillery and many other family and friends. He was very active in the lives of his family, especially dedicated to his grandchildren. There was never a field trip, school event, swim meet, baseball, soccer or basketball game, golf tournament, birthday party, confirmation, band concert, pumpkin patch, zoo visit, vacation or graduation that didn't see grandpa present. Kermit was preceded in death by his parents, Bennett and Irene Lyslo and his sister, Norma Lyslo. He honorably served our country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, stationed in Japan and later in the US Air Force Reserves. He was a hospital administrator at Lovelace Bataan Hospital for 20 years. Mr. Lyslo was instrumental in the facilities construction for several new phases for Lovelace. He was a longtime member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church, active in planning and coordination of the construction of the education building. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 6, 2014, 2:00 pm at FRENCH - Lomas. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date.
