Kenneth Lee Shrum

Kenneth Lee Shrum, age 85, of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021. He was born in Seagraves, Texas, on June 13, 1936. He attended high school in Midland, Texas and excelled in football.

After his first day of football practice, he was put on the varsity squad. He was a brilliant electronic technician for Schlumberger Well Services for 26 years.
He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Kevin; his parents, Lee Shrum and Berneice Franklin Shrum of Lamesa, Texas.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, the former Nancy Prout, of the home; three sons, Gary of Dallas, Texas, Michael and wife, Tamie of Rapid City, South Dakota, Kenny and wife, Amy of Nederland, Colorado; three daughters, Cynthia Llanes of Austin, Texas, Deborah and husband, Dr. Stephen Haynes of Clovis NM, and Elizabeth Shrum of Albuquerque, NM., fourteen grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill and wife, Leona, of Odessa, Texas; two sisters, Mary Seely and husband, Dean of Lake Palestine, Texas, Jan Triller and husband, Bob of Placitas, NM and many nieces and nephews.

He was a much loved and very, very loving man who will be so very missed by his family. He was a person who helped anyone in any kind of need, and many outside of his family will also greatly miss him.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., Our Lady of he Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW, Albuquerque, followed by an Ennichment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.
