On Thursday, June 7, 2018, Kenneth Quintana passed away suddenly at the age of 63. He is survived by his daughters, Andrea Quintana and Michelle Vogel; his beloved grandchildren, Quentin Lee, Seymour Baca, Jr., and Aviana Nevarez; his best friend and ex-wife, Dorene Ford; his father, Elias Quintana, Sr.; his five brothers, Joey Quintana, Johnny Quintana, Elias Quintana, Jr., Mike Quintana, and David Quintana; his sister, Phyllis Bopp; his uncles, Phillip Robert Vouterin and Kino Quintana; his aunt, Minnie Quintana; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Vouterin Quintana; his aunt, Josephine Hernandez Fevig; his friend, William Ainsworth; and his spouse, Martha Bernal.
Kenneth graduated from Boystown High School in Nebraska in 1972. He served in the United States Marines from 1974 – 1976. He was exceptional at sports and loved arts and crafts. He was a very loving and caring person. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
“Your actions were always kind, A generous hand and an active mind, Anxious to please and loath to offend, A loving brother and faithful friend.” You were loved by many and will be deeply missed by all.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, June 24, 2018, 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH – University. A reception will immediate follow at 4:30 p.m., at New Mexico Veterans Memorial located at 1100 Louisiana Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM.
