Ken Opp entered into heaven by passing at the age of 80 on Friday, February 2, 2024. Born September 6, 1943 in the Panama Canal Zone, Panama, Ken's final moments were spent peacefully at home in the presence of his wife, Dolores, and friends.
Ken is survived by his wife, three children, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind two brothers and their respective families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Lebo and Helen Mary (Zweier).
Ken was a US Army veteran who served honorably during the Vietnam era. He was a career business man who focused primarily in sales. His attention to product quality and reliability were only surpassed by his focus on exceptional customer service and his appreciation for the art of the deal.
Ken's principal passion was his walk as a Christian, disciple and follower of Jesus Christ. Born into Pennsylvania Dutch roots, Ken's childhood involved responsibilities for farm animals and playful sibling rivalry with his twin, Doug, and older brother, Gerry.
Career opportunity guided Ken to the Land of Enchantment where he contributed to the formative stages of the Town of Cochiti Lake and Pueblo de Cochiti Golf Course, an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Jr. course. He would later spend several years as the sales manager for Family Fun Spas where he excelled as a nationally recognized "Top Gun" salesman for the Watkins hot springs spa product line.
