NOTAH, KENNETH JAMESAge 91, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Bernice Esidro Notah of the family home; children, Verna Miller of Kensington, MD, Janice Notah and Anice Lynn Reichbach; grandchildren, Jason Miller of Seattle, WA, Anthony Notah, Mariah Mata of Denver, CO, David Reichbach and Marisa Mata; sisters, Anna Sanderson and Esther Dawes; brother, Joseph Notah, all of Hunters Point, AZ; numerous nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. Mr. Notah was preceded in death by his parents, Tsehe Notah and Julia Trujillo Notah; and siblings. Mr. Notah attended Ganado Mission and Rehobeth Christian Schools. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Following an honorable discharge, he made his home in Albuquerque. He was married in 1946 to Bernice Esidro of Laguna Pueblo, NM. After working in the produce & baking industries, he became a house painting assistant under the tutelage of Bruce Benton, which led to the development of his own business, known as Master Painters & Decorators. His clientele included predominant business owners, legislative representatives and two former NM Governors. Kenneth was very active in his community, especially in the founding and operation of the Navajo Club of Albuquerque, Inc.; including serving several years as the president. He had a kind and generous heart; he not only raised his three daughters but also raised many extended family members. He was a fun-loving individual; he took pleasure in sharing his daughters activities such as rollerskating, inter-tubing, baseball, jump rope, etc. He had an affinity for music, and loved playing the guitar and other instruments. Kenneth always had a positive outlook on life and was a man of strong Christian faith. He will be remembered for his kindness, patience, generosity, strong work ethic and a great sense of humor. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, 10:00 am at Fellowship Christian Reformed Church, 4800 Indian School Rd NE, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Miller, Anthony Notah, David Reichbach, D'Armon Miller, Jeff Reichbach and Everett Begay. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph Notah, Robert Mata, Jr. and Nicholas Mata.
