Kenneth Long

Kenneth C. Long passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on April 27,2024 at the age of 78. Ken was born in Portales, New Mexico to Millard and Letta Long.

Ken was a salesman for Sears for many years. He sold tools and developed a life long love for a good home project. He enjoyed many things - his cabin, his dogs, fishing, telling stories, building a warm fire, and spending time with his family and friends. He truly loved and cherished his family and his inner circle of close friends.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Letta Long Harvey, his mother's husband, Lloyd Harvey, his sister Gerry Harris and his two brothers Don and Calvin Long. Ken is survived by his three daughters and their spouses: Sandra Long-Mendoza and Ernest, Stefanie Zbylut and Mark, Amy Dapolito and David. Ken had seven grandchildren: Marissa Mendoza, Meghan Nunno, husband Adam, Mikayla Mendoza, Kaitlyn and Zachary Zbylut, and Jacob and Christian Dapolito.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that everyone who knew and loved Ken, spend time with the people you love and show gratitude for the hope brought by every new day.
