Kenneth Appleton Legg, age 94, loving husband, amazing father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed peacefully in Rio Rancho, New Mexico on Saturday, May 7, 2016. He was known for his positive attitude and unconditional love of family and friends and zest for life. He was always said, "I enjoy life" and am in "tip top" shape. He loved music, dancing and playing bridge.
He is survived by his four children, Candace Jones, Lynn Legg, Nancy Kovarik and David Legg; nine grandchildren and 22 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Seddon W. Legg; mother, Madeleine C. Legg, and wife Jeanne M. Legg.
He was born in Nantucket Island, MA. He retired from the USAF after serving as an instructor pilot with the Army Air Corps from 1941 to 1946 and serving in the USAF Reserves until the age of 60. He spent 50 years working as a litigator with State Farm Insurance retiring at the age of 80.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope in the Desert Episcopal Church, 8700 Alameda Blvd. NE Albuquerque, New Mexico.
