Kenneth R. Jones

Kenneth R. Jones, age 83, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016. A Pennsylvania native, Ken served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Wright before returning home to later become a proud Penn State graduate. After receiving his college education, Ken moved to Albuquerque where he met the love of his life, Nancy Duhigg, and they married in 1964. He worked 34 years for Sandia Laboratories, retiring in 1994. Ken spent endless hours working crossword puzzles but his true passion was sports- anything that had a ball in it. He was a huge Lobo Basketball, Philadelphia Phillies, and Dallas Cowboys fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jones; parents, Robert and Thelma Jones; and brothers, Robert and James Jones. He is survived by his son, Tom Jones and wife, Mary; daughter, Susan Brinkin, and husband, Jim; sister, Nancy Starr, and husband, George; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the veterans organization of your choice.
