Keith M. Creveling

November 3, 1922 — June 8, 2017

Keith M. Creveling, age 94, went to the Lord very peacefully on June 8, 2017.  Keith was born in Bloomsburg, PA on November 3, 1922 to Marjorie and Bruce Creveling and was the oldest of five children.  After high school, Keith joined the Civilian Conservation Corp and then was drafted into the US Army during WWII. He served his country in North Africa and Italy and was honorably discharged in 1945 as a Tech Sargent.  He came to New Mexico in 1947 to attend UNM on the GI Bill. During this time he became more involved in riding and training horses and even assisted in the training of a general’s horse in the Mexican Army for the Mexico City Olympics. He met Ton de Beer, visiting the country from Holland, on a blind date on April Fool’s Day 1960 and they were married that same year. They had two daughters, Regina (Gina) Cooper, and Myka Creveling. Keith began working at Sandia National Laboratories and retired after 27 years. He continued his passion of riding and training horses. He was a simple man who loved the outdoors, classical music, traveling, reading, and spending time with his family.

Keith was predeceased in death by his parents; his brothers, Dean and Jim; and a sister, Marion.  Keith is survived by his wife; daughters; granddaughter, Zoë and husband, Bryce Bolack, and grandson, Zach Cooper and girlfriend, Sydney Rubin. He is also survived by his sister, Nancy Lindenmuth and husband, Joe; numerous dear sisters and brothers-in-law; and nieces and nephews throughout the country and Holland. The family would like to thank the following for their kindness and care of Keith: Bill Keenan, Darlene Carrillo, and the dear staff of Silver Wings Assisted Living.
