Kazuko Stanczyk

September 14, 1931 — May 15, 2013

Age 81, born in Tokyo, Japan and a resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Many may remember her as an excellent golfer, others as a creative master instructor of Japanese Ikebana Flower Arranging. Her family members remember her as a strong woman full of life and wisdom, living life her way. She was happy. We are proud. She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Katharine Pickett (Dr. Bradley Pickett and granddaughter, Erin Pickett) of Los Ranchos, NM; son, Paul Stanczyk (Julie Stanczyk) of Mission Viejo, CA.; sister, Masako Inoue (son, Tokio Inoue) of Walnut Creek, CA; and relatives in Japan. She was preceded in death by her husband, CDR Stanley L. Stanczyk (US Navy); father, Yoshi Aki Muto; and mother, Kiyono Muto. A Farewell Reception will occur on Sunday, June 9, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Sandia Casino in the Hummingbird room.
