Kay Elizabeth Robbins passed away on October 26, 2017. She was the daughter of Lester Harold Robbins and Naomi Warren Robbins; born on May 16, 1933 in Decatur, IL.
Kay is survived by her husband of 48 years, Richard M. Adam of Albuquerque; daughters, Kathryn A. Blanco of Houston, TX (husband Jorge, son Nicholas), Kym E. Dicome of Albuquerque (daughter Mikaela, son Michael), and Karen L. Bradtke of Funchal, Madeira (husband Claus, son Benjamin, daughter Gillian); brother, Michael W. Robbins of Kinderhook, NY; and sister, Leslie Robbins Martin of Decatur, IL; nieces and nephews.
Kay’s career as an administrative assistant and administrator, largely in education, ended after 16 years in the Department of Medicine at the University Of New Mexico School Of Medicine. She enjoyed her retirement in part as a volunteer for the Friends of the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Library and an avid participant in Swimmin’ with the Wimmen.
