Kathleen Susan Maynard

Kathleen Susan (Clark) Maynard 1956-2015 Kathy was born April 6, 1956 to Curtis Carl and Venice Donna Clark of Bayfield and Durango Colorado. Kathy attended Bayfield and Durango schools and attained her GED. In 1974 Kathy and her daughter Mindy moved to Denver, CO. In 1992, while living in Alamogordo, NM Mindy introduced her to the love of her life John Maynard of Charlton, MA. They married in 1993 while John was enlisted in the US Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force, John went to work for General Electric Aviation. John and Kathy travelled extensively together living in Germany, Italy, Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Virginia and in 2010 settled down in Rio Rancho, NM. Through the years Kathy completed her associate's degree, worked as a dental hygienist and in various business administrative positions. Kathy loved traveling, camping, fishing, attending NASCAR races with her husband John, long walks with their dog Lacy, and any time spent with family and friends. Kathy's hobbies included gardening, reading, and cooking. Kathy and John have a blended family. Kathy is survived by her children, Mindy Boughton of Alamogordo, NM; step children Stephen Maynard of Oklahoma City, OK and Angela Maynard of Austin, TX. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Chelsie Fallon of Alamogordo, NM, Raymond, John and Derick Maynard of Oklahoma City, Ok and Isabella Maynard of Austin, TX. She is survived by five siblings, Carl Clark of Romeo, CO, Gary, Pete and Rick Clark of Durango, CO, Robert Clark, of Ignacio, CO, Margaret Cross of Arkansas, and Donna Faris of Denver CO, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Kathy's parents, Curtis and Venice, and siblings Jack, Kenneth (Duffy), and Patsy preceded her in death. She was surrounded by family when she died of natural causes on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho, NM. Kathy was loved by all who knew her.
