Katherine Jane Hollingsworth Meadows

Katherine Jane Hollingsworth Meadows, age 83, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at home in Albuquerque. The daughter of Hillis "Holly" and Dorothy Crawford Hollingsworth was born on March 2, 1930 in Chicago, IL. The previous death of her beloved daughter, Holly, was a devastating experience. She is survived by husband, Ralph Spengeman; sister, Joanne Powell of Orchard Park, FL; brother, Chuck Hollingsworth of Inglewood, CA; son, Steve and Maria Meadows of El Paso, TX, son, Mark Meadows of Yucca Valley, CA, daughter, Julie Meadows of Albuquerque; step-son, Todd and Darla Spengeman of Sugar Land, TX and step-daughter, Laura Spengeman and partner Paula Plesha of Sacramento, CA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chelsea, Steve, Jenny, John, Daniel and Zack; step-grandchildren, Trevor and Riley; and numerous great-grandchildren. Kathie was an active member of the construction industry of New Mexico. She was a member of the National Board of Directors, a Regional Governor and National Bylaws Chair of the American Society of Professional Estimators, a devoted member of the National Association of Women in Construction and an arbitrator of the American Arbitration Association. Kathie was dedicated to the perpetuation of her family ancestry, especially the descendants of Valentine Hollingsworth.
