Katherine Elizabeth (Kersting) Kameyer
October 25, 1925 — July 17, 2017
Katherine Elizabeth Kameyer, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on July 17, 2017 after courageously battling Alzheimer's for many years. Katherine was born in New York City on October 25, 1925. She married Sylvan (Joe) Kameyer, the love of her life, and was a homemaker where she enjoyed taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Mathilde Kersting; and husband, Sylvan whom she was married to for 52 years. Katherine is survived by her son, Darren Kameyer and wife Susan; daughter, Karen Weaver and husband, Terry; granddaughter, Kimberly Weaver and husband, Keith; granddaughter, Kourtney Kropp and husband, Stephen; great-granddaughter, Harper; brother, Al Kersting and his children, Todd Kersting, Dana Zito and husband, Rosario, Amy Kersting and Amy's children, Victoria, Christopher and granddaughter, Camryn.
The family extends special thanks to Aspen Care where Katherine's caretakers Donna (owner), Marlene, Moijgan, Carla, Brionna and Barbara provided compassionate care and love for the past six years. The family also extends thanks to Ambercare Hospice for their dedication. The family will hold a private memorial service.
