On July 22, 2024, Katherine F. Spicer-Morgan, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM, was peacefully guided to Heaven by God's Angels. She was born in Columbus, Ohio to parents Della L. Spicer and Glen T. Spicer Sr. She was baptized at a young age in Jeffersonville, GA and then again in Los Angeles, CA with her children and granddaughter.
She was employed by the Public Service Company of New Mexico for 32 years and retired in 2000. With retirement, Katherine developed further passion for gardening, doll-making and costume designing. Her creative spirit and dedication resulted in winning several blue ribbons at the New Mexico State Fair.
Katherine is survived by her daughter, Regina L. Morgan, granddaughter Regina M. DeVaughn, great-grandson, Israel A. Watson, and siblings Jesse L. Spicer and Leroy Spicer. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and longtime friends.
She is preceded in death by her son, David Troy Morgan, Jr., her parents, siblings (Liz Redmond, Billie Johnson, Carolyn Taylor, Annie Ruth Shaw, Glen T. Spicer Jr., Michael Spicer) and most recently two great nephews and a great niece.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM at French Funeral and Cremations - 7121 Wyoming Blvd N.E., Albuquerque, NM 87109. Interment will be held privately at Sunset Memorial Park.
