Karla Ann Lachmann

Karla Ann Lachmann, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 13. Karla was born on March 16, 1958 in Pontiac, Michigan to Kenneth Lachmann and Wilma Brandenburg Lachmann. Her early years were spent in Farmington, Michigan and she moved with her family to Albuquerque in 1967. She graduated from Eldorado High School and Eastern New Mexico University. She was employed by Presbyterian Hospital in the real estate division. Karla was interested in drama and volunteered with Albuquerque Little Theatre and later worked in puppet ministry. Karla was a devout Christian and was a member of Washed by the Word Church, where she had many loyal friends. She completed ministry training at Calvary Chapel, Albuquerque and in England. She went on missionary trips to Russia, Africa, South America and Australia. Karla is survived by her parents; her brother Pete, his wife Lisa and their sons PJ and Jeremy; her sister Heidi; a large extended family; and her dear friends Robyn, Doug, Aaron, Lorin and Drew Bentley. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2014, 10:30 a.m., at Washed By the Word Church, 4228 Carlisle Blvd., Albuquerque, NM 87109. In lieu of flowers donations can be made by check to Washed by the Word Church, P.O. Box 95258, Albuquerque, NM 87109 for Karla's fund for foreign missions.
