It is with great sadness that the family of Karen Jeffries announces her passing away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 2, 2022 after suffering from a stroke on September 16th. Karen was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on December 6, 1943 where she attended school. She met her husband, Vern Jeffries while he was an Airman assigned to Grand Forks AFB in 1961. They fell in love and were married in 1962 which allowed them to have to three children, all boys, and a 60+ year very happy, loving marriage. Karen and Vern traveled together from Grand Forks to Denver, Japan, and settled in Albuquerque in 1989.
Karen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who gave selflessly to those around her. She enjoyed reading, movies, baking, collecting all things owls, watching her grandkids play their sports, and fishing (but only from land).
Karen was preceded in death by her son, Mark; and both of her parents. She is survived by her husband, Vern; sons, David Jeffries and Scott (Lynn) Jeffries; and grandchildren, Samantha Jeffries and Alex Jeffries.
