Karen Ann Robertson

Karen Ann Robertson, age 84, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023. Karen was born in Sacramento California on May 8, 1939. Karen met her future husband Gerald in 1956 and they were married in the LDS Idaho Falls Temple on August 13, 1957. Karen's husband Gerald served in the Air Force. As a military family, during the next 23 years they experienced transfers to locations in California, Mississippi, Ohio, Montana, Hawaii, and Florida, with six children being born during this time. In 1977, Karen and Gerald relocated and retired from the military to Albuquerque New Mexico.

Karen was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in many church assignments, including 21 months as a full-time missionary at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and many years working in the Albuquerque Temple. Karen was a loving wife and a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Karen always loved and cared for her family and had compassion for friends in need. Karen was preceded in death by her sweetheart husband, Gerald Robertson, her parents, Marion and Naomi Koford; her sister, Robinette Wilkinson; and her son, Gerald (Randy) Robertson.

She is survived by daughters, Donna Thurgood (Lynn), Eileen Porter (Doug) and Lori Lenberg (Robert); daughter-in-law, Becky Robertson; sons, Timothy Robertson (Christy) and Eric Robertson (Raquel); and a posterity of twenty grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 300 Loma Colorado Blvd NE in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, with a viewing from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and funeral service commencing at 10:00 a.m.
