Kaleta Davis

Age 76, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, passed on Thursday, March 21, 2013 with her family at her side. She is survived by her brother, Eddie M. Brown and wife Billie of Odessa, TX; children, Linda Murphy and husband, Steve of Albuquerque, NM, and Sharrell Wayne Davis and wife, Lorrie of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, Angela, Sabrina, Michael and wife Crystal, Kristen and husband Dustin, Joshua, Kaiya, and Michael; three great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Brody, and Tucker; and other relatives and friends. Kay was preceded in death by her husband, S.R. Davis in 2002; and her parents, Arthur and Lela Mae Brown. She was born in Texas in 1936 where she met her husband and they moved to Albuquerque in 1957. During the last year, Kay enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved the desert, the sunsets of New Mexico, and her Thursday visits to the beauty shop. Kay was a long time member of Triumph Centre at Bethel. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Kay will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends may visit FRENCH - Wyoming Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, 11:00 a.m., at Triumph Centre at Bethel, 7800 Holbrook NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122, with Pastor Michael Mullins officiating. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday, March 28, 2013, 9:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Triumph Centre at Bethel.
