June Ashley Herman, 88, was born during the Great Depression in Grandfield, OK. She has lived in Albuquerque, NM since 1961. She was predeceased by her first husband, Loren Ashley; their daughter, Kay; and her brother, Winton Brubaker.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Alan L. Herman; her sons, Mark and Shawn (Joy) Ashley; Al’s children, Lynn Griego, Nancy (Barney) Locklin, Alan (Jill) Herman, and David (Joyce) Herman; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
June loved to laugh, swim, boat, fly, dance, sew, socialize, entertain, travel and play bridge. For the past 25 years, she and Al spent winters at their beautiful home in San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico where they were active members of the yacht club.
A celebration of her life will be held at The Neighborhood Assisted Living, Rio Rancho on November 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
