Judith Settle

d. July 22, 2016

Judith Settle, beloved mother and friend, died peacefully on the afternoon of July 22, 2016 after a long illness. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Jackson and husband Courtney; son Trigg Settle and wife Mollie Monnig; son Paine Settle; her brother John Beilfuss; and her grandchildren: Andrew Rombach, Faith Gonzales, Julia Jackson, and Lucy Jackson. She will be greatly missed by her family and her countless friends.
Judy was born on September 30, 1948, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Gene and Lois Beilfuss. The first in her family to attend college, she graduated with honors from Michigan State University in 1968. After her marriage in 1973, she found her true home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she started her family. A caring and attentive stay-at-home mom for many years, she became a successful realtor and entrepreneur in the 1990's. In 1996, she founded Landmark Estate Services, New Mexico's leading Estate Sale firm for nearly twenty years, where she blended her love of local art and culture, and her remarkable creativity, with her passion for service. Among her many joys were her activities as a member of St. Michael and All Angels Church, her membership in the Tuesday Literary Club, and her steadfast devotion to her friends and loved ones. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 27 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, 601 Montaño Road, NW. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions to The New Mexico Samaritan Counseling Center and The UNM Children's Hospital.
