Juanito was a member of The Shrine of St. Bernadette and Holy Child Parish in Tijeras. He was a World War II Infantry D-Day survivor. Juanito was wounded in combat and awarded the Purple Heart. Juanito's father Atanacio Garcia was the son of Vivian Garcia, who was a descendant of one of the first families who settled in Carnuel, NM, and heirs to the Land Grant of Carnuel. Little did we know that our sweet father was going to meet our mother up in heaven when he went to visit her in Santa Fe. Their hearts and love are reunited once again. His influence to all his 8 children was God, love and respect. He was always a hard honest worker and provider. He loved music and enjoyed playing his accordion. Daddy you will be greatly missed but we know your heart and body are no longer in pain. We love you very much! Rosary will be recited Sunday, July 15, 2012, 6:00 p.m., at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd NE. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 16, 2012, 9:00 a.m., at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eddie Gutierrez, Jr., Julian Gabaldon, Daniel Garcia, Isaac Garcia, Ruben Mora, Jr., and Dominic Greifinger. The family would like to thank Ft.
