JUANITA LUSKMarch 9, 1914 - September 15, 2012 Heaven has a new angel in the choir. At age 98, she passed away at the family home September 15, 2012. She was a long time resident of Albuquerque. She was born on March 9, 1914, the oldest child of eight born to Elbert and Cooper Sapp in Crockett, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Lusk. She is survived by her only child, a daughter, Ava Coleman and her husband, Ellwood of Albuquerque; a brother, Charles Sapp of Compton, California and a sister, Charlie Dean Perro of Galt California. She is survived by a grandson, Kevin Johnson and his wife, Laura of Albuquerque and a granddaughter, Yoko Coleman of Encino California. She is a great grandmother of two; Sophia and Bjaun and great great grandmother of three; Genesis, Trinity and Bjaun Jr. She also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces and friends. All are blessed to know her and will celebrate her life. Most of her life was spent in her native state of Texas where she graduated from Crockett High and attended Guadalupe College in Seguin. She was a homemaker and took joy in spending time with her family, gardening, fishing, crocheting and reading. She was a faithful believer in Christ and active in several churches in multiple states over the years where she served in a variety of organizations such as the Sunday School Program, Church choirs and the Baptist Women's Missionary Society. The viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112. There will also be a viewing before the service, Thursday, September 20, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. - 10:50 a.m. at Grace Baptist Chapel, 12201 Comanche NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111. The service will be held at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor Curtis Brown. The burial will be at Sunset Cemetery with a reception following at the church.
