Juan L. Martinez

Juan Lino Martinez, Jr., 83, passed away on July 27, 2018.  Juan was born and raised in the small rural community of Gobernador, NM, and remained a rancher and cowboy at heart while living his adult years in Albuquerque, and briefly in California.  He loved working outdoors, eating watermelon from his garden, drinking coffee, and being with family.  He was sometimes silly, often stubborn, and always kind and good.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Agapita; children, John Mobbley (Sheryl), Ross Mobbley (Elizabeth), Priscilla Elias, LeeRoy Martinez (Sheri), Leonard Martinez, and Craig Martinez; and special friend, Mary Gallegos; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Pat Martinez (Diane); sisters, Mary Simms (David), Matilda Marshall (David), Lupe Benavidez (John), and Rosa Martinez; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Juan Lino and Irene Martinez; and sisters, Juanita and Prisciliana.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 10, 2018, 10:00 a.m., at Risen Savior Catholic Community Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM  87109. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd or Joy Junction.
