Born on February 12, 1927 in Roswell NM, Juan was called to be with our Lord on November 18, 2012. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Pedro and Guadalupe Flores of Roswell, NM. He is survived by his loving wife Isabel and children John Flores, Michael Flores of Albuquerque, Joseph Flores of San Diego, CA, and Marcella Kerwin of Los Angeles, CA, along with all of his loving grand and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving sisters Minnie Mendiola, Lupe Najar, Estafana Miles, Gloria Fresquez, and their spouses. As a young strong man, Juan worked at the MacNelly Ranch in Roswell, NM, eventually being called to serve his country during WWII in Germany. During his honorable service, he was awarded the WWII Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. After the war, he returned to South Spring Acres near Roswell NM. Always an ambitious worker, Juan became a successful construction framer building a vast number of residential homes all over the state. Moving to Albuquerque NM, Juan worked for Home Planning Development and RayLee Homes. Juan had strong hands and used them to always provide for his family. Juan will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was always generous with his sisters, and extended family. He was very creative, enjoying making small furniture for the children of friends and family and miniature churches to honor Jesus in his spare time. As a family we want to thank God for giving us a loving dad who taught us so much. We will always love you dad. Rosary and Mass for Juan will be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 1800 Martha Street Northeast, Albuquerque NM on Monday, November 26, 2012 with a Rosary beginning at 8:15am followed by Mass 9:00am. Burial will take place at 1:30pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe Street in Santa Fe, NM.
