Joyce Diane Santistevan

Our little angel went to heaven on November 15, 2013. Joyce is survived by her parents, Mary Frances and Carlos Santistevan. Her sister, Antoinette and her husband Mario, her brother, James and his wife Patty, her brother, Mike and his wife Mary Jo, and nieces Renee and Pilar and nephews Ian, Diego, Cortez, Jordan and Jakob. Joyce was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cristino and Manuelita Gallegos and Guillermo and Eutila Santistevan, her uncles Eli and Joe Max Gallegos. She had many, many uncles, aunts, cousins and special friends. Joyce was the center of her family's life, and through their prayers, diligence, and devotion, Joyce lived a full and rewarding life. In 1985, her mother resigned from her job to homeschool Joyce, and to devote attention to her. Joyce will be remembered for her kind spirit and love for everyone she met. She always had a smile on her face, cared deeply for her family and enjoyed going places-including a cruise to the Mediterranean with her parents on their 50th anniversary. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and her family wishes to send thanks to all of those who helped bring meaning into her life. A Rosary will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 at 7:00 PM at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Prince of Peace Catholic Community. Pallbearers are James, Diego, Cortez, Mike and Jakob Santistevan, Jordan Mahoney, Mario and Ian Baca.
