Joyce E. (Long) Sagon

Joyce Sagon, age 93, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022, at The Neighborhood in Rio Rancho, NM, where she had resided the last 5 plus years. Joyce was known for being very friendly, caring, and easy to approach. She traveled and camped extensively and was very good at fishing. She enjoyed a good card game with friends and her family. Her faith was very important to her.

Joyce was born August 7, 1928, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Agatha Long. She married Victor Sagon on June 14th, 1947, residing in Coal Valley, Illinois. She is survived by her sons, Bill of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Ed of Santa Fe, New Mexico, as well as numerous, much-loved grand and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022 at The Neighborhood in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Interment and Graveside Services will be held Friday, June 10th, 2022 11:00 a.m. at the Arsenal National Cemetery in Rock Island, Illinois. Those attending should meet at the Radisson on John Deere Commons at 10:00 a.m. so that we can proceed in mass as requested by the Arsenal.
