Joyce L. Lewis

Heaven has received another angel.  Joyce L. Lewis 81, of Haskell, TX, passed away April 14, 2017 in the Albuquerque, NM.  She was laid to rest with her husband, Charles (Chuck) Lewis in Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.  Joyce was born December 4, 1935 to George M. (Happy) Bartlett and Willie Winona Roland.  She lived a very happy full life. She loved life, cooking, reading her Bible daily, working search word puzzles, being with family and friends, the great outdoors, listening to the birds and nature, feeling the sun warm her, camping, and fishing.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister; a brother; a son, John D. Adams; a daughter, Cheryl E. Herrera, and husband, Robert M. Smith.  She is survived by her best friend, Robert B. (Tom) Thompson, of Albuquerque NM;  daughters, Carolyn S. Robey,  and Shannon Crowley , of Haskell TX, Kathy and husband, Glen Pennington of Rule, TX; sisters, Doris and husband, Jim Woods of Odessa ,TX; Mary S. Neatherlin of Stamford, TX; Patsy and husband, Alan Daniels of Denton, TX; grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews, and friends.  Celebrate her life as you remember her.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to be made to Hospice, VFW, American Legion, Cancer Society, or Moose Lodge.
