Joyce Elaine Holder was born on February 15, 1930 and joined her daughter, Jennifer Rose in heaven on May 7, 2016.
Joyce was born and raised in Indiana where during her senior year in high school she met her husband Max, whom she was married to for 66 years. They had two children; Jerry Lee and Jennifer Rose.
In 1960 they moved from Indiana to Bosque Farms, NM where Joyce worked as an office manager/bookkeeper for the better part of 30 years. They also made and sold jewelry.
When Joyce wasn't working she was caring for her daughter Jennifer who had Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Joyce and Jennifer spent much of their free time traveling, enjoying country and western dancing and were members of a clogging club in Albuquerque. Joyce also enjoyed watching Jennifer and her son Jerry, drag race at the Albuquerque Dragway.
Joyce will be greatly missed by her husband Max Holder, her sister Shirley of Muncie, IN. Her son Jerry Holder, Sr. and Ana Rosalez of Albuquerque. Her grandsons; Donald Holder and wife Tingting of Beijing, China, Jerry Holder, Jr and wife Heather Johnston of Bosque Farms. Granddaughter Virginia Braden and husband Allen Braden of Bosque Farms. Great-Grandsons; Scott Shaw, Tyler Holder, AJ Braden (her little cowboy) and Aiden (her little red head). Great-Granddaughters; Allena Braden and Audrey Holder.
We will be celebrating Joyce's life on May 19, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Mark and Laura King officiating at FRENCH - Wyoming. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
