Josie Vigil

Josie Vigil passed away on the Feast of Saint Joseph, Monday March 19, 2018.

Josie Vigil was born upriver from Espanola New Mexico in Estaca. She was the daughter of Florentino and Ramoncita Gallegos. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mel Vigil and her only daughter, Cleo Konty; had two sons--Tony and Clarence. She had eleven grandchildren, and twenty- two great-grandchildren.

Josie retired from Albuquerque School System as a school cafeteria manager. Josie lived in the Grants and Albuquerque areas for 60 years.

Josie took great pride in keeping a very clean home and loved to entertain family and friends. An avid walker, often before the sun came up, she was very active. Josie loved to crochet, embroider, and sew quilts. She has read all of Jacquelyn Susann books. You could find her working on her Search a Word Puzzles almost any day! She was an avid garage sale buyer and flea market vendor.
