Josie M. Sanchez

Josie Sanchez, age 83, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017. Josie enjoyed gardening, ceramics, quilting, and drawing. She immersed herself in her family and reveled in the joys of her grandchildren. Josie was devoted to her husband of 62 years, Archie, and had a strong belief in God that never wavered. She retired from the federal government after 39 years of service.

Josie was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Gonzales preceded in death by husband Steve, Denise Sanchez and husband Charles, Susan Vallez, Monica Sanchez and wife Elizabeth, Lisa Keys and husband Daryl; sons, John Sanchez and wife Carmen, Richard Sanchez and wife Diane; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Nancy, Candido Jr., and Flora. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Candido; sister, Rosalie; and brothers, Luz and Tony.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, September 28, 2017, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming.
