Joshua Yves Killman

October 30, 1994 — May 22, 2022

We are heartbroken that Joshua Yves Killman, 27, of Albuquerque, passed away on May 22, 2022. Josh was born on October 30, 1994 to Brad and Yvonne Killman. As the first child, grandchild and nephew in the family, he was adored and surrounded by love. His knowledge of and passion for cars, especially fast ones, seemed to be instilled in him since birth. He would tell anyone who would listen about his favorite cars, speed, horsepower and what he would someday drive. Josh also loved animals - even when they didn't love him. As a toddler, he would follow his aunt's dog trying to convince her, "I nice," and, while in elementary school, had an urgent care visit after trying to be friends with a prairie dog. Josh eventually found his best friend and sidekick, Ben, his loyal pit bull, who always brought joy and comfort.

Josh attended Georgia O'Keefe and Northstar Elementary, Desert Ridge Middle, and graduated from La Cueva High School in 2013. He ran cross country for La Cueva and continued running into adulthood, placing in his age group each year that he ran the Duke City Half Marathon or 10K. He attended the University of New Mexico and graduated with honors in 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the Anderson School of Management. Business was another of his strengths. He was an entrepreneur from his early days, selling soda and candy from his backpack after the school removed vending machines. He excelled in DECA in high school, which is what led him to study business in college. Josh worked in the family moving business from a young age. He started as a mover and packer and eventually worked his way up into sales. He managed the company's sales warehouse, where he marketed and sold furniture to vendors, realtors and members of the community.

Josh had a soft and generous heart. While finishing college, he started Albuquerque Solace Care to bring assistance and support to members of the homeless community. Since his passing, we have been touched by the many stories we have heard about Josh helping, comforting, encouraging and inspiring those around him.

Josh is survived by his loving parents, Brad and Yvonne Killman, his younger brother, Nicholas, whose antics and jokes Josh tolerated with an eye roll and a grin. Josh also leaves behind his grandparents Max Killman and Aneeda Abeyta and Gilbert and Theresa Chavez, many aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends, including his beloved, Ben.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 5 p.m. at FRENCH-Wyoming, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. 87109

Josh left us too soon. Although we are heartbroken, we will ensure that his kind and generous spirit will continue to make a difference.
