Joseph Hector Ridsdale

Joseph H Ridsdale Jr (Junior), 74, of Rio Rancho NM, passed away on March 15, 2018.

Joe was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 19, 1943. He graduated from Lafayette High School and continued on to receive an airline mechanics degree at Teterboro School of Aeronautics.

Joe was married to Marietta Silecchio on May 1, 1965; they were married 52 years.

Joe worked as an airline mechanic for TWA for 21 years. He moved his family to NM in 1986. In 2000 he became a supervisor for UPS Airline Maintenance in Ontario, CA. He retired in 2007. He enjoyed traveling and automobiles. He also loved spending time with his family and his dogs.

Joe is survived by his wife, Marietta; his son, Joe with his wife, Star and their children Joey, Angelica, and Anthony; his son Peter Ridsdale with his wife, Renee Whiteside and children Michael and Joey. His daughter Jennifer Messina with her husband Chris and their children, Nathanael, Hannah and Joshua; his sister, Billie and her husband, John Zeni; his sister, Delores Racioppi and his brother-in-law, Danny Balzafiore. Joe was loved dearly by his very close family. The Capone’s, The Zeni’s, The Silecchio’s, The Racioppi’s, and The Balzafiore’s. Joe made a lasting impression on everyone that he met. He was a man that had friendships that lasted his lifetime.

Joe is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Ridsdale Sr; his mother, Elvira Ridsdale; his sister, Dorothy Balzafiore; his brother-in-law, Anthony Racioppi and his father-in-law Peter Silecchio and mother-in-law Theresa Silecchio.

Joe(Junior) was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. There wasn’t anything that he couldn’t do, or anything that he wouldn’t do to protect his family.

This loving man will be missed beyond the expression of mere words. Joe professed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. We all look forward to reuniting with him in Heaven.

Family will begin to gather at 2:30 p.m. with a Memorial Service to begin at 3:00 p.m. lasting approximately one hour on Saturday March 24, 2018 at FRENCH – Rio Rancho.
