Joseph Inman

Joseph R. Inman, Jr. age 80, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024. Born February 17, 1944, in Oakland, California. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jennifer Louise; parents, Joseph R. Inman, Sr., and Bertie Louise Bush; sister, Donna J. Crosby; nephews, Leslie Inman, and Bill Sabata.

He is survived by brother, Jerry Inman and wife, Barbara of Shalimar, Florida; brother-in-law, Ed Crosby of Val Paraiso, Florida; nephew, Barry Inman and wife, Fran of Marysville, West Virginia; niece, Stacy De Hart and husband, Paul of Gotha, Florida, and Debrorah Bain of Oregon and great-nephews and nieces.

Joe grew up in North Carolina and Florida. He became interested in amateur radio as a young boy and held an extra class license with the Federal Communication Commission. Silent Key Kl7MG. Joe had been an avid golfer. His favorite football team was the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Joe entered the US Airforce following high school and on discharge worked for various aerospace sub-contractors before accepting employment with Kentron International at the Kwajelein Missile Range (Marshall Islands) where he met his wife, Jane of 47 years.

After leaving Kwajelein, Joe worked for the Alyeska Pipeline Co. in Alaska for 15 years before moving to Albuquerque. He was active in the Paradise Hills Civic Association and worked for Lectrosonics in Rio Rancho, NM. Prior to a stroke in 2004.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Westside.

Interment will take place on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life for Joe will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., Trinity Family Church, 6101 Paradise Blvd NW - Albuquerque with Pastor John Goldshot officiating.
