Joseph (Joe) Hoffman, 74, loving husband and devoted father, loyal friend and employee, born in Brooklyn, New York July 14, 1941, passed away June 04, 2016.
Joe was known for his dedication to his family and friends. He was a man of countless talents and unending eagerness to accept new challenges.
Joe joined the Navy in 1959 which brought him to Albuquerque, where he met his bride of 54 years. He served aboard the USS Lexington and USS Kitty Hawk. He retired from EG&G and also from Fiore Industries. Following retirement he greatly enjoyed meeting up with his former co-workers. He looked forward to work every day where he formed many lifelong friendships. He was a strong family leader with a well-defined value system. Joe loved to keep in touch and made great effort to avail opportunities for family and friends to come together. We always appreciated his wit, charm and no nonsense demeanor.
He is survived by his wife Cecilia; his children, Bill and Dianna Hoffman of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Lisa and Erik Dunkle of Hillsboro, Oregon, Jamie Hoffman and Victoria Ortiz of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his six grandchildren, Rachael, Stephanie and Evan; Nikki, Kyrsten and Kevin. He is also survived by his sister, Joan Warner of Aztec, New Mexico and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bertha Hoffman.
