On Thursday, September 30, 2021, Joseph Brian Harris passed away quietly. Known as Joe professionally, his family and close friends knew him as Brian. Brian was 3rd Generation UA Local 412 Pipefitter. Brian took pride in his work, and he was very good at what he did as it was in his blood. His father used to take him to the job site when he was a small boy and throw him a can of bolts and screws to play with to keep him busy.
Brian was absolutely adored. He was kind, loving, generous, funny, and goofy. He loved his Kansas City Chiefs. Brian had a childlike spirit that was so enduring.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, George Harris; mother, Jerry Carol Harris; and brother, John Greg Harris. He is survived by his devoted wife of 17 years, Dawn Harris; his faithful companion his red heeler, Ginger; daughter, Taylor Harris; step-mother, Betty Jean (BJ) Harris; brother, Glenn Harris; sisters, Lori Harris and husband, Jim Smith and Lisa Harris Wade and husband, Buster; nephews, Joe Harris, and Brody and Garrett Wade; and nieces, Jennifer Klamback, Kristina K. Hutson, and Jessica Self.
We are devastated at the loss of our beautiful Brian, but we hold on to the promises of our Lord Jesus Christ knowing that Brian was saved, and we will reunite with him in heaven on that glorious day.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH-University followed by a Graveside Service at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul Blvd NE. Please join us in celebrating Brian's life and sharing your favorite memory of him.
