Joseph Salvatore Catasca, DDS

February 18, 1927 — September 13, 2018

Joseph is survived by his wife, Georgia, and children; Stephanie, John, Paul and their spouses and grandchildren. Joseph served in WWII in the Navy on the John C. Butler-class destroyer escort USS Grady in Saipan, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. After WWII he graduated from the University Of Illinois Dental School on the G.I. Bill.  He gave two years of public health service at the Indian Hospital in Santa Fe, NM, and in Dulce, NM, with the Jicarilla Community. He moved to Corrales, NM, after retiring from private dental practice in Santa Fe, NM, and went to work for the VA Hospital in Albuquerque. A life well-lived!

Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 24, 2018, 10:00 a.m., at San Ysidro Parish, 5015 Corrales Rd., Corrales, NM. Interment with military honors will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
